Tagliatelle al nero di seppia

I suppose to finish my Singapore trip post but i kinda lost of idea to write about that, so i decide to post about my lunch instead for what i think is the most darkest food I've ever eat in my whole life. Probably you ever heard about the famous Italian squid ink pasta or in Italian it's called Tagliatelle al nero di seppia. Well yesterday i have lunch at Ristorante Italiano - Capricciosa the main signature is pasta & pizza and the founder of the restaurant is from Japan. I decided to try the squid ink pasta, this is not my first experience with black squid ink, before this i have Okonomiyaki-squid ink at Japanese restaurant it's just the Okonomiyaki i ate is not black as the spagetti in my lunch.

Calamari and Onions in Squid Ink Sauce. What do you think?

"Any type of pasta that has been enhanced with the chemical substance extracted from the ocean squid so it becomes very black in color. Squid ink, which is also available from the Cuddlefish (related to the Squid family), is added to the water and dough as pasta is made, creating very black colored pasta. This ink provides a salty and somewhat sweet flavor as an ingredient and coloring to the pasta. Ribbons of pasta, such as Squid Ink Tagliatelle, are produced that are single pieces of black pasta. Another version of Squid Ink pasta is dual colored pasta (due colori) that is produced by combining a ball of black colored pasta with a ball of natural or white colored pasta."

It's not bad as it's look, the smell it's a bit funny but the taste is surprisingly delicious! totally recommended for those who like to try for something new. But be careful, after you eating the whole lips and teeth will coloring to black too and make sure to check your mouth with your friends or at least spot a mirror before leaving the restaurant.

Apart from the black spaghetti, others we also ordered for Quattro Formaggi. I don't like it much it's just a pizza whole covered only with 4 kinds of cheese. And for dessert we have Frittelle delicious vanilla ice cream with cinnamon, strawberries and pastry puffs. Anacolica or drinks have chioces from Italian Sodas or Hot drink caffe. The price is reasonable, pleasant find dining and the service is good.
